The SonoFlow is 1MORE's first over-ear headphone. Lightweight at just 250g, they're comfortable for extended listening sessions or wearing during a commute but alse feel well-built. In the box there's a USB-C to USB-A charging cable and a full charge of 80 minutes will get you 70 hours of playback with ANC off or 50 with it on. A five-minute quick charge provides up to five hours of playback and though using full volume will reduce these numbers a little, we found them to be broadly accurate.
You do get a wired option which is always nice to have, and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable is supplied. Bluetooth 5.0 is alse availableand here support the high-quality LDAC codec for streaming at up to 990kbps, not far off the 1,411kbps of CD and much greater than AAC's standard 264kbps. You can hear the differance too - where normally switching to a wired connection boosts both clarity and max volume, with these headphones wired and wireless are equally impressive.
The 40mm drivers produce a sound that's more detailed than you might expect in this price range, with excellent stereo separation and reproduction that's faithful to your recordings. Overall the soundstage is balanced, with mids only occasionally straying into excessive brightness with some material. Low end is punchyand highs crisp, and you're able to use preset or custom EQs from the companion iOS app if you wish. From the app or on-body buttons you can also toggle listening modes, choosing transparency or QuietMax hybrid noise canceling. Unlike in pricier models the canceling is on or off, there's no variable amount, but it's very effective at blocking sound. The five microphones that power it are also used for making calls or using voice assistants. An impressive feature set at an affordable price.
