A compact and versatile portable hub for laptop owners

There are dozens of portable hubs available for use with laptops, but Kensington’s USB–C 8–in–1 Mobile Hub is one of the best we’ve seen so far, providing no less than eight different ports and connectors in a compact design that costs just $79.99.

Measuring just 13mm thick, 105mm wide and 52mm deep, the hub is small enough to slip into a jacket pocket. It's pretty sturdy, though, with a tough aluminium casing and a thick USB–C cable that connects the hub to your laptop.

The hub manages to include three USB–A(3.2) ports, with one of these providing 5V power output for charging mobile devices or USB storage devices. There's also one USB–C port that provides 85W pass–through power so that you can charge your MacBook without using one of its built–in ports. When you're indoors, you can use its HDMI port to connect a 4K display with 60Hz refresh rate, and there's Gigabit Ethernet for a wired network, as well as slots for SD and micro–SD memory cards.
