Customize everything about your keyboard
Keychron’s Q2 is one of the most customizable mechanical keyboards you can buy. It’s a compact 65% sized model but deceptively solid and heavier than it looks at 56 oz, thanks to its machined aluminium frame and multiple internal layers, including double gaskets and insulating foam that allow a slight give while also minimizing noise when typing. This gentle spring to the entire keyboard is barely perceptible but results in a quieter and more forgiving typing experience. The company's new OSA Profile double–shot PBT Keycaps feel responsive under your fingertips.
Available in a range of colors, your customization options when purchasing are extensive and include a barebone version without keycaps, Gateron G Pro red, green and brown switches for different tactile feedback, and the option to include a knob in the place of the INS key. Although our review model didn’t have this feature, you can use the free VIA app for Mac, Windows, or Linux to program the knob to perform actions like changing the screen brighness, volume adjustment, and more. The app also allows very deep customization of keyboard layouts, macros, and shortcuts for all models that will satisfy even the most ardent power user.
The keyboard is wired and comes with a USB–C cable and a USB–A adapter, and features RGB backlighting with programmable patterns, as well as all keys being hot–swappable and the unit featuring a Mac Windows switch. It’s a beautifully– built keyboard that feels sturdy enough to deal with demanding gaming or office uses.
