That's a macOS limitation, not a dock flaw — the computer's display engine sets the ceiling. Check your chip before you assume the dock can drive your whole monitor wall.
Power delivery
The host port pushes up to 140W (PD 3.1), which fast-charges even a 16-inch MacBook Pro. I ran one docked all day and it held a full charge even while I was working — the laptop's own charger can stay in the bag. Skip it if your monitors only accept HDMI or DisplayPort and you don't want adapter cables in the chain. Skip it if you need 10GbE (the port here is 2.5GbE, which is fine for most NAS setups but not for video-over-network workflows). Skip it if you're on a Thunderbolt 4 Mac with no upgrade plans — a $250–$300 TB4 dock covers most of this at half the speed and half the price.
