It's one of the more interesting desktop products of the past year.
It's also expensive in a way that needs to be stated up front. The Aspekt Touch 32 starts at $1,689.99 in its cheapest configuration (Space Grey, gloss finish, no stand) and runs to $2,141.99 for the Silver matt version with the Omni Stand and its Mac mini cradle. That's more than an Apple Studio Display, and considerably more than most 32-inch 4K monitors with better panels.
I've spent the past two weeks using it as my main desktop display — Mac mini in the cradle, wired keyboard and mouse in the USB-A ports, Ethernet in the back, stylus on the screen for markups. The short version: the docking and the touch integration are excellent, the panel is competent but not special, and the price only makes sense if you specifically want the Mac mini all-in-one setup. Design and Build
The Aspekt Touch 32 is a good-looking monitor, and it's clearly aimed at people who own Apple hardware. The chassis is acrylic and aluminium — 80% recycled aluminium, per Alogic — finished in Silver or Space Grey, with a thin bezel on three sides and a glass back panel that looks better than anything behind a monitor has any right to. It reads as a piece of furniture rather than a peripheral.
The stand is where Alogic has done something I haven't seen elsewhere. There are three options. The Raise Stand is a conventional height/tilt/swivel affair for normal desktop use. The Fold Stand hinges so the screen drops almost completely flat, which turns the monitor into a giant drafting table. Then there's the Omni Stand, which is the Fold Stand with a machined cradle for an M4, M5 or M6 Mac mini bolted to it — the mini sits in the base with all its ports accessible, and the display still folds.
I used the Omni Stand. The cradle is machined properly and the Mac mini drops in like it was designed as part of the product, because it was. Alogic routes cables through clips on the side of the stand rather than internally, which is the right call — a failed internal cable would turn the whole stand into scrap. The Fold Stand's range is impressive: it lowers far enough that the screen is nearly horizontal, at which point it really is a 32-inch drawing surface.
Two build notes. First, this thing is heavy. Alogic lists the Aspekt 32 chassis at around 12.3 kg with the stand, and the touch panel and glass add to that — plan for a substantial desk. Second, the touch layer adds a glass surface that makes the whole assembly feel more premium than a typical plastic monitor, and it also means you should expect to clean it.
There's a 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern, so you can use an arm — but note that Alogic's own Omni Stand uses a custom quick-release mechanism and won't fit other monitors, even ones with the same VESA pattern.
Panel and Picture Quality
Let me be upfront about a limitation of this review, because it matters: no independent lab has run the Aspekt Touch 32 through a standardized measurement suite. There's no lab-grade report with measured contrast, uniformity maps, gray-to-gray timings or a proper delta-E sweep. What I can tell you is what the panel does in use, and what the manufacturer and retailer claim — and those claims don't fully agree with each other, which is worth knowing before you spend two thousand dollars.
Start with the panel. It's a 32-inch IPS LCD at 3840 × 2160, which works out to 137 pixels per inch. That's a real step down from a 5K or 6K display at a similar size, and if you're coming from a MacBook Pro's Retina screen or an Apple Studio Display, you will notice it. Text is clean and perfectly usable, but it doesn't have that printed-page quality you get at 200+ PPI. For spreadsheets, code, and timeline work it's fine. For someone who bought a 6K display for the sharpness, it's a compromise.
IPS is the right choice for this kind of product, though. It gives you 178° viewing angles, so the color holds up when you're standing at the screen using touch, which a VA panel would not manage nearly as well. The trade-off is contrast: 1000:1 is standard IPS, which means blacks are dark grey rather than black. In a lit office this is a non-issue. In a dim room, next to an OLED, you'll see it.
Color accuracy is the headline claim. Alogic says the panel is factory calibrated to an average Delta E below 2, with 95% DCI-P3, 99% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB coverage. Those are solid numbers for creative work — a Delta E under 2 means most people won't see the error, and 95% P3 is enough for photo and video work aimed at web and streaming delivery. In use, skin tones looked natural and gradients were smooth, with no obvious banding.
Here's the caveat. Alogic's own consumer product page for the Aspekt Touch 32 claims 100% DCI-P3, while its business site and the retailer listing both say 95% DCI-P3, and an independent review measured 97%. That's a three-way disagreement about a headline spec on a $1,700–2,100 monitor, and it's the kind of thing that should be nailed down in a spec sheet. My strong suspicion is that 95% is the real figure and the consumer page is wrong, but I can't verify it without a colorimeter and a lab-grade panel sample. Treat the 100% claim with skepticism.
The same problem shows up in color depth. Alogic's copy for the non-touch Aspekt 32 claims 1.07 billion colors — that's 10-bit. The retailer spec sheet for the touch model says 16.7 million, which is 8-bit. If you're doing gradient-critical color work, that difference matters, and again, nobody has independently verified which is correct for the touch panel.
HDR is a checkbox, not a feature. This is the part of the spec sheet I'd ignore entirely. Alogic's marketing for the non-touch model calls it an "HDR400 display," one review reported peak brightness around 600 nits in HDR mode and referenced the HDR600 standard, and the retailer simply lists "HDR support: yes." Peak brightness on a 10% window at 600 nits is plausible for this panel class, but there is no local dimming, no wide color volume to speak of, and no VESA DisplayHDR certification clearly published for the touch model. On a 400-nit IPS panel with 1000:1 contrast, HDR content gets a mild contrast push and not much else. If HDR grading is part of your job, this is not the monitor.
One more panel note: Alogic offers the Aspekt Touch 32 in gloss and matt finishes, with matt costing about $110 more. Given that the company's earlier glossy panels drew complaints about reflectivity, the matt option is the one most people should pick — you give up a little color vibrancy and black depth, and in return you can actually see the screen in a room with windows. I'd take that trade every time.
Touch and Stylus
This is the reason the product exists, and it's the part that works best.
The panel does 10-point multitouch through a One Glass Solution layer, which means the touch sensor is laminated into the glass rather than sitting on top of it. In practice that keeps the image crisp and makes taps feel direct. Alogic ships Mac touch drivers that enable the touchscreen and let you build custom multi-touch shortcuts — a three-finger tap to mute yourself on a Teams call, a swipe gesture to create a new layer in Photoshop, and so on. On Windows, touch works natively, and you can assign touch input to a specific display in a multi-monitor setup.
Where it gets interesting is the stylus. The screen supports the MPP 2.0 protocol, so it works with Microsoft Surface pens, and Alogic sells its own Active Stylus with 4096 pressure levels for around $120. Once the drivers are installed, you get hover detection, pressure sensitivity, tilt, and the flip-to-erase end. I did markup work in Affinity Photo and sketching in a couple of drawing apps, and it behaved like a competent pen display — pressure ramps were smooth, hover worked, and the flip-to-erase became muscle memory within an hour.
Combine that with the Fold Stand and you have a 32-inch tablet on a desk. Folded down, the screen sits at a comfortable drawing angle and the whole thing is pleasant to use for extended sessions in a way that a touchscreen bolted to a vertical monitor is not. If you draw, annotate, or mark up documents for a living, this is the feature you'd buy it for.
Two honest caveats. First, the software experience is only as good as the OS. Touching macOS is still awkward — tap targets in the interface are small, and you'll find yourself making more taps than you'd like. That's Apple's problem rather than Alogic's, but you're the one living with it. On Windows the touch experience is better because the OS was built for it. Second, this won't replace a dedicated pen display for serious illustration. The pressure response and surface feel are good, not class-leading; a Wacom Cintiq it is not. It's a monitor that's also a decent drawing surface, which is a different (and more useful) thing than a drawing tablet that's also a monitor.
Motion and Gaming Performance
There is no gaming story here, and I'd rather say that plainly than dress it up. The Aspekt Touch 32 is 60 Hz with a claimed 14 ms grey-to-grey response time and no adaptive sync of any kind — no FreeSync, no G-Sync Compatible, no HDMI VRR. That 14 ms figure is slow even for a 60 Hz office panel, and it shows up as visible smearing on fast motion.
For desktop work this is completely irrelevant. Scrolling documents, dragging windows, watching video, editing timelines — all fine. If you occasionally play something slow and casual, you'll cope. If you want to play anything competitive, or you're used to a 120 Hz+ panel, this will feel sluggish, and a $300 gaming monitor will run circles around it in motion handling. Don't buy a $1,700 touchscreen dock and expect it to double as a gaming display.
Connectivity and Docking
This is the strongest part of the product and the reason to consider it over a cheaper 32-inch 4K monitor plus a separate dock.
The port count is generous: HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 in, DisplayPort 1.4 out for daisy chaining, a USB-C host port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, two USB-C downstream ports, two USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5 mm audio out, and two Kensington lock slots. Two of the USB ports sit on the side of the chassis for easy access, with the rest tucked behind — a small thing that makes a real difference day to day.
The charging story is the headline. Alogic bills it as the first 145W charging monitor, and the breakdown is sensible: 90W to the host laptop over USB-C, 30W to a tablet, 15W to a phone, and 5W each to two USB-A accessories. Ninety watts is enough to keep a 16-inch MacBook Pro topped up under a heavy workload, which is more than most docking monitors manage. If you're a one-cable laptop user, plugging in a single USB-C cable and getting video, Ethernet, four USB devices and full-speed charging is exactly the experience you want.
There are three caveats you should know before buying, and they're all documented by Alogic rather than buried:
- Daisy chaining works properly only on Windows. Connect a Windows PC over USB-C or DisplayPort and you can extend to one additional 4K display, two QHD displays, or three FHD displays. On a Mac, the second display mirrors instead of extending, because macOS doesn't support DisplayPort MST. Alogic is upfront about this, but it's a real limitation for the Mac-centric buyer this monitor is aimed at.
- The DisplayPort output is dead on macOS. Related to the above — the DP-out port has no function on a Mac.
- Hub speeds drop at 4K 60Hz. When you run video and data over the same USB-C cable, video bandwidth takes priority and the USB hub falls back to USB 2.0 speeds (480 Mbps). If you need both 4K 60Hz and fast external storage, you'll want to run video over HDMI or DisplayPort and use USB-C for data. This is common across docking monitors, but it's still worth planning around.
The 2× 5W speakers are serviceable — clear enough for a video call and fine for casual listening, with no real bass. The 3.5 mm jack is there if you care. There's no webcam, which at this price is a notable omission given that the Apple Studio Display includes one, though plenty of people would rather choose their own.
Ergonomics and Usability
Alogic has done something clever with the OSD: instead of a row of unlabeled buttons hidden under the bezel, you swipe two fingers left from the bottom-right corner of the screen and the menu appears. It's a nicer solution than most monitors manage, and it works on the touchscreen, which is exactly where a touchscreen should earn its keep. You can disable it if you keep bumping it.
The settings list is thorough: input source, brightness, contrast, color gamut, color temperature, gamma, tint, saturation, sharpness, overdrive, adaptive sync, dynamic contrast, blue light, HDR, volume, aspect ratio. It's a conventional OSD with a less conventional way of getting to it, and I found everything I wanted within a few minutes.
The stands are the ergonomic story, and Alogic's guidance is worth repeating because it's honest: the Raise Stand is for people who mostly use the monitor upright and touch it occasionally, and the Fold Stand is for people who intend to spend real time drawing on it. Having used both positions, that's exactly right. If you're buying this for stylus work, budget for the Fold or Omni Stand — the Raise Stand doesn't get low enough to be comfortable for long sessions.
The one thing I'd flag is documentation. Alogic publishes a fair amount of troubleshooting guidance, including a note that at least one regional version of the Mac touch drivers and app wasn't fully compatible with the hardware when it first shipped. Check for driver updates before you conclude something is broken, and budget an hour for setup if you're pairing it with a Mac mini.
Who This Monitor Is For
Buy the Aspekt Touch 32 if:
- You own an M4 (or newer) Mac mini and want to turn it into a cable-light, touchscreen all-in-one with a properly machined cradle. Nothing else does this.
- You want one cable to deliver 4K video, 90W of laptop charging, Gigabit Ethernet and four USB devices, and you'd rather not buy a separate dock.
- You annotate, sketch or mark up documents and want a large pen-capable surface that doubles as a monitor.
- You're on Windows and want to extend across multiple displays from a single cable via DisplayPort daisy chaining.
- You value the industrial design and the aluminium-and-glass build enough to pay for it.
Skip it if:
- Sharpness is your priority. At 137 PPI this is a long way from a 5K or 6K panel, and Retina-accustomed eyes will notice.
- You do HDR work. There's no local dimming and no meaningful HDR performance.
- You play games. 60Hz, 14 ms, no adaptive sync.
- You're on a Mac and want to daisy chain. It mirrors, it doesn't extend.
- You want the most color-accurate 32-inch 4K panel for the money. You can spend considerably less and get better-verified color.
- You want verified measurements before buying. Nobody has independently lab-tested this panel yet, and the manufacturer's own spec pages disagree with each other.

The comparison makes the Aspekt Touch 32's position clear. Against the Apple Studio Display, it gives you a bigger screen, more ports, real docking and a touchscreen — and gives up 81 PPI of sharpness, 200 nits of brightness, and a webcam. It costs more. If you don't need touch or the Mac mini cradle, the Studio Display is the better display and Apple's height-adjustable version is still cheaper than the Omni configuration.
Against Alogic's own competition in the Mac world, the BenQ MA270S is $999, has 218 PPI, measured 99% DCI-P3 coverage and an average delta-E of 0.09 in testing — better-verified color and far more sharpness for roughly half the price. It has no touch and no Mac mini dock, which is the whole point of the Aspekt, but it's a reminder of what $1,000 buys in a 5K panel.
For pure 4K creative work, the BenQ PV3200U is $800 and delivers factory-calibrated color with measured delta-E between 0.86 and 1.4, plus a 2.1 speaker system that's actually usable for checking edits. It lacks touch, its contrast is low, and it has no DisplayPort input — but at less than half the price of a mid-range Aspekt Touch 32, it's a much better value for anyone whose priority is color fidelity rather than convenience.
The honest read: you are not paying $1,700–2,100 for panel quality. You're paying for the dock, the touch layer, the hinge, and the Mac mini cradle. Those are real features that nothing else combines, but they're also the entire premium.

Folding it flat and drawing on it is properly useful, and the Mac mini cradle is a beautifully executed answer to a question only a small number of people are asking.
The problem is what you pay for it, and what you don't get. At $1,689.99 for the cheapest configuration and $2,141.99 for the Silver matt version with the Omni Stand, you're spending Studio Display money on a panel that is dimmer, far less sharp, and unverified by any independent lab — with manufacturer spec pages that contradict each other on gamut and color depth. HDR is a checkbox, gaming is off the table, and Mac users can't daisy chain.
So the recommendation is narrow but real. If you own an M4-or-newer Mac mini and the idea of a touchscreen all-in-one with a single cable and a machined dock makes you want to reorganize your desk, this is the only product that does it, and it does it well. Windows users who want one cable for video, data and 145W of charging get a great dock with a competent screen attached. But if you're shopping for the best 32-inch 4K picture for your money — or you just want to be confident in the color numbers before you spend two grand — buy something else and put the savings toward a panel that has been measured. The one change that would make this an easy recommendation is a panel upgrade: put a brighter, sharper, independently verified screen in this chassis and the price stops being an argument.
